As a teacher of 5th-8th grade students, I am amazed at the curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm that God has given each of them. In my classroom, I strive to tap into that enthusiasm every day. Specifically, as a teacher of math, I love showing the students the order and complexity found in our world and created by our God. In class, my students and I are wrestling with math problems, discussing methods, analyzing mistakes, and much more. I aim to prepare them to function as a productive Christian in high school and also wherever God may lead them in life. Part of being productive is being able to solve problems, calculate answers, estimate, and recognize error. All of these receive high priority in my math classes.
God has placed me exactly where He wants and needs me – here at St. John's in Lannon. I'm excited to be a part of our faculty and staff, and I am thankful for the students and the families that I will be working with this year. If you or someone you know would like to come and visit either my classroom or our school, I am confident you will find it to be a place where the students are learning, where the teachers are caring, and where Jesus is living.
