Admission Policy
Children entering kindergarten must have reached the age of five on or before September 1st of that school term. Children entering kindergarten must have all of their immunizations up to date, and they must have had a physical examination and a dental examination. Much of the information for new kindergarten students is disseminated at a special “Kindergarten Round-Up” day held in February.

Transfer students will be required to present a transfer and/or report card and health records from their former school prior to acceptance into St. John’s Lutheran School. In all cases, St. John’s faculty and administration shall reserve the right to determine the appropriate grade placement for the child.

St. John’s Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities at the school. Our school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administrated programs.

Children whose parents are members of St. John's Lutheran Church pay a Member Tuition Fee. Along with the prayers and regular contributions of such parents help to maintain the school. Faith Lutheran Church has a similar arrangement in that their children pay a Member Tuition Fee, yet Faith congregation calls and supports one teacher at our school and supports their work through prayers and offerings.

Non-members of St. John's or Faith must pay the following:

  • Non-Member Tuition Fee:  $5,940.00 per student

Children who are members of St. John’s or Faith will be charged a Member Tuition Fee to cover some of the expenses involved in operating our school. This fee should be paid on registration day by the parents together with any other incidental fees. The fee for the 2018-2019 school year will be:

  • Member Tuition Fee: $1,400.00 for first two children; the third and any additional children are $540.00 each
All necessary religious books are purchased by the students from our school bookstore and remain their personal property. It is taken for granted that the children will find much use for these texts in their later life as well as in their Christian training at school. Students will be expected to pay for any lost or damaged textbooks or library books. Students are expected to care for their books properly. With proper care a student's texts should have no broken bindings, torn pages, or writing inside them.
