Computer Lab With our new computer lab in place for fall, several supervisors will be needed before and after school to help monitor the students. Athletics Volunteers make the athletics program at St John's possible by coaching, assistant coaching, serving as referees or umpires, score keepers and monitors for the numerous sports throughout the school year. Recess Duty Supervise the students during their lunch recess periods. Mostly an outside job, but sometimes recess is moved indoors due to weather. Two monitors are needed for each of the two lunch recess periods per day. Room Parents Room parents assist teachers in various ways throughout the school year including helping with holiday parties, planning field trips, book orders, and much more under the direction of the classroom teacher. Two or three room parents per class is very beneficial. School Fellowships Volunteer to serve snacks and beverages at various gatherings throughout the school year, including Home and School meetings, church fellowship, Sound Explosion, Family Night and graduation (7th grade parents are automatically volunteered for graduation) Pioneers Leaders and helpers are always needed to ensure he future of this program. Office Help Grade papers, prepare items for student use, help teaching staff in various ways. Mornings or afternoons available. Teaching Help teach a Junior Achievement course for any grade level. Give aid to students in the classroom who need extra help. Help teach songs/skits for Family Night. Home & School Opportunities to serve on numerous committees to enhance the home and school connection. Hot Lunch Prepare and serve lunch to students and faculty 10:30 to 1:00 daily. Choose as many days a month to suit you. Market days Volunteers are needed monthly to help set-up and distribute Market Day items. Market Days are on Tuesdays, once a month. Concessions A concession stand is operated at many of the athletic events in order to offset some of the expenses of the athletic program. Help is always needed to ensure the success of the program. Librarians Maintain the library or serve as librarians for a class. Opportunities are available to help with one of the book fairs hosted by the school library.
